Fixtures for trimming

After vacum forming of plastic parts they need to have trimmed away surplus material and have cut openings and holes. The parts must be firmly fixed before the 5-axis CNC machine start trimming.

To get a good grip on this organic shape the fixture must be curved like the part. The customer wants to suck the part down on a fixture under it.

Because of the size and complexity of the part it was scanned from different sides and put together.

...and based on the scan a set of fixtures was milled out.
