CARSO CAD/CAM

CARSO CAD/CAM is especially developed for efficient milling out of deep reliefs' in stone, marble, wood and foam.

The CARSO CAD/CAM system is made for manipulating and preparing machining of scan from Scantech's 3D laser scanner. After you have scanned, it is immediately shown on your screen in 3D. Now the preparation for machining begins.

Machining the scan

• You select all or part of the scan to machine
• You select the tool from a library of pre-defined setup’s
• Press one button to post process to the CNC-machine

Simple as that - and it works well!

5-axis machining

5-axis machining is not difficult when using CARSO. The 5 axis milling increases the use of the system, now it’s possible to scan all 5 sides of an object and mill it out.

Rest Milling

CARSO knows where the carving tools has been already and go directly for the material to be removed—this we call Rest Milling and is a very efficient feature in stone carving.

Milling simulation

In CARSO you can do photo realistic milling simulation of any step of the milling process. It is of great value to simulate the milling prior to the machining . It helps you to avoid failures. You can preview the milling results and optimize your tool selection. It can even be used for realistic training!

Script programming

A special text editor with all the CARSO commands is included in the system. Repeated data processing works can be automated and free the operator. Data processing can be set up in a batch and run during the night, preparing the scan automatically for machining.

In your own language

The software is now available in: Danish, English, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. More languages can easily be added.

Milling Strategy

is where and how you want to carve - it’s simple and efficient and made for stone! Mill out the hole scan or just a part of it. Cut in one direction to avoid breaking the edged, or make a spiral cut! Preserve your cutting tools by ramping down carefully into the stone. Cut out layer by layer in depth to avoid overloading your cutting tool.

All can be stored for later re-use.

Tool parameters

is with what you want to cut. Choose between 9 different tool shapes in any size. CARSO is the only CAD/CAM system that allow you to use the Saw blade and the Core drill for optimal rough cutting of the stone! You save time and money. To open up the details and finish the piece we have a range of carving tools for you.

The post processor setup is easy and straight forward!

CAD import

Imagine you could import a geometry from your CAD system and use the stone carving capability of CARSO? You can! Save in STL format and import in CARSO through the Stl Slicer application
